About Me

My name is Jenna and I am 25 years old. I have a 3 year old son called Cove and a cat called Milo. I am a newly registered childminder, but I have been working with children since I was 16 as a nanny and a babysitter and have also worked in a nursery.

I am friendly and approachable and aim for a positive environment where children are treated as individuals, respected, nurtured and given the chance to grow and fulfill their potential. I work with parents to meet the needs of the individual child. I set consistent boundaries and always remain calm and patient.

Activities

I follow the EYFS curriculum and offer a variety of play-based learning activities. I am particularly keen on outdoor and active learning and I like to do fun activities with the children I am looking after whilst ensuring their safety and wellbeing. I regularly take the children on trips, for example, to the woods, the park and less frequently to farms, zoos etc. Messy play is a big part of learning and the children frequently have access to paint, playdough and glue. I love to bake and cook and often involve the children in the preparation of healthy food and snacks. I prepare sensory activities which the children love.
